Anthropic’s Claude AI now integrates with Canva for design tasks

Users can now create and edit designs in Canva using Anthropic’s Claude chatbot. According to a report by Jess Weatherbed for The Verge, the new feature lets users give instructions in natural language to generate presentations, resize images, and fill templates. Users can also search and summarize existing Canva documents through the Claude interface. Access to this integration requires paid subscriptions to both services. The connection is built on Anthropic’s Model Context Protocol, an open standard for linking AI models to other applications. Anwar Haneef, head of Canva’s ecosystem, said this marks a powerful shift toward user-friendly, AI-first workflows. This integration follows a similar one with Figma, and Anthropic has launched a new directory for all its connected apps.
