Upcoming Adobe tool protects works against AI

Adobe plans to launch a free web app to protect creative content from AI use. The new tool is set to be released in early 2025, allowing artists to easily add copyright information to their works. As reported by Jess Weatherbed on The Verge, users can tag images, videos, and audio files with metadata including the creator’s name and contact details. Additionally, creators can specify whether their content may be used by AI systems. The app integrates with Adobe’s existing “Content Credentials” platform and is designed to work with content created outside of Adobe software as well. A new Chrome plugin will also allow users to view this information directly on websites.
