Midjourney introduces collaborative storytelling tool Patchwork

Midjourney has launched Patchwork, a new web-based collaborative worldbuilding platform for creative storytelling. According to Carl Franzen’s report in VentureBeat, the tool allows multiple users to create and develop digital worlds together in real-time. Max Kreminski, leader of Midjourney’s Storytelling Lab, demonstrated how users can generate characters, events, places, and AI-generated images on an infinite canvas. The platform requires users to connect their Midjourney Discord account with Google for access. Up to 100 users can collaborate simultaneously on a single project, making it particularly useful for tabletop roleplaying groups and creative professionals. Midjourney’s founder David Holz also announced upcoming features, including video models and multiple personalization modes. The company plans to expand into a full research lab with several hardware projects in development.
