Google is significantly expanding its AI Mode in Search with four new features. According to a report by Abner Li of 9to5google, the updates aim to make search more interactive and contextual.
Users will soon be able to upload PDFs and images on the desktop to ask detailed questions about their content. A new feature called “Canvas” will let people create and organize plans for trips or study guides within a side panel. Furthermore, “Search Live” will enable users to search with live video from their phone’s camera via Google Lens. Finally, AI Mode is being integrated into the Chrome desktop browser to analyze content directly from a webpage.
These features are rolling out in the coming weeks, primarily to Search Labs testers in the US.
