ElevenLabs has launched a new AI-powered tool that enables users to create and edit podcasts from text documents and other source materials. As reported by Ashley Carman for Bloomberg, the system can generate conversational podcasts in 32 languages using AI-voiced hosts selected from thousands of voice samples. The New York-based startup, valued at $1.1 billion in January, offers features including transcript editing, voice customization, and high-definition audio export capabilities. The tool includes built-in verification features to identify AI-generated content and requires disclosure of artificial creation. ElevenLabs plans to expand the system’s capabilities with sound effects and music integration, positioning it as a competitor to Google’s NotebookLM and similar products in the growing AI audio market.
