OpenAI is integrating Google services into ChatGPT, allowing the chatbot to access and use information from a user’s Gmail, Google Calendar, and Contacts. According to a report by Mayank Parmar in Bleeping Computer, this feature enables ChatGPT to reference personal data directly within a conversation. The integration uses a feature called Connectors, designed to link third-party services to the AI model. This connection aims to make conversations more efficient by eliminating the need for users to manually input information. OpenAI stated the rollout begins this week for Pro users, with Plus, Team, Enterprise, and Edu plans to follow in the coming weeks. Users can activate the new connectors in their account settings.
