Apple has updated its Creator Studio suite with a range of AI-powered features across Pixelmator Pro, Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro, and other apps. Juli Clover reports for MacRumors that the updates span video editing, image creation, audio production, and document tools.
For content professionals working with video, Final Cut Pro receives two notable AI additions. Generate Captions automatically creates subtitles from a video’s audio directly on the device, with options for animations, custom fonts, colors, and positions. Edit Detection analyzes a finished video and splits it back into individual clips on the timeline, which Apple says can help editors refine cuts or assemble highlight clips for social media.
Final Cut Pro on Mac also adds Auto Mask, which isolates video elements such as skin, hair, sky, and clothing without manual tracking. Color Match has been improved for more accurate results across different lighting conditions.
More tools for image and audio work
Pixelmator Pro gains AI image generation from natural language prompts and a new Content Hub for browsing curated images. The app now integrates with Final Cut Pro, Keynote, Numbers, and Pages, allowing users to edit images directly within documents and send video frames to Pixelmator Pro to create thumbnails or social graphics.
In Logic Pro, the Chord ID feature has been rebuilt for greater accuracy. Session Players now respond to chord changes more quickly. Both Logic Pro and MainStage introduce a granular sync mode in their Alchemy synthesizer for expanded sound design options.
Creator Studio Pro, which bundles all of Apple’s creative software, is available for $12.99 per month or $129 per year and supports up to six users per membership.
