Acer introduces AI laptops with up to 99 TOPS performance

Acer has unveiled new AI-capable laptops in its Swift Go and Aspire series featuring advanced processing capabilities. According to Dean Takahashi from VentureBeat, the Swift Go models incorporate Intel Core Ultra 9 processors with integrated AI acceleration delivering up to 99 TOPS of AI performance. The laptops feature Intel Arc graphics and come with options for 3K OLED or 2K IPS touch displays in 14-inch and 16-inch sizes. The company also introduced AMD-powered variants offering up to 50 NPU TOPS performance through Ryzen AI 300 Series processors. These new computers include dedicated neural processing units for AI workloads, extended battery life reaching up to 27.5 hours of video playback, and modern connectivity options like WiFi 7. Prices start at $800 for the base models, with availability beginning in early 2025.
