The AI video company Luma AI is partnering with Adobe to release its new generative video model, Ray3. The model is now available to customers of Adobe’s Firefly app, Steven Zeitchik reports for Hollywood Reporter. The partnership aims to provide creators and filmmakers with a tool for generating realistic videos from text prompts, potentially reducing production costs. According to Luma AI’s CEO, Ray3 is the “most intelligent video model on the market” and can interpret complex, multi-part commands. A key feature allows users to draw a character’s movement directly onto an image, which the model then animates. The release positions Luma AI in competition with rivals like Google Veo and Runway AI in the race for advanced AI video technology.
