Microsoft describes the agents as functioning like new apps in an AI-powered world, working on behalf of an individual, team, or function. This move intensifies the competition with Salesforce, whose competing Agentforce technology is due for release in a few days. Microsoft stated that 60% of Fortune 500 companies are already using its Copilot technology. The new AI agents will be available in public preview later this year and into early next year.
