Meta has introduced Muse for Small Business, a version of its AI agent designed to work with business software and the company’s own advertising tools. Isabel O’Brien reports for CNBC that the service connects Muse with Asana, Zoom, Intuit, Box, Canva and Slack, which is owned by Salesforce.
The agent can also access Meta ad accounts as well as professional profiles on Facebook and Instagram. Meta says users can give Muse broader goals, such as finding customers or handling business work, rather than asking for only one isolated task.
Muse for Small Business follows the pricing model of the consumer Muse app. It is free within usage limits, while more extensive use requires a subscription. Meta has not detailed subscription prices in its announcement.
Part of Meta’s broader enterprise push
The launch arrives shortly after Meta announced plans for an enterprise platform. That product is expected to include a Muse agent, a business agent and a coding tool. Meta has hired former MongoDB CEO CJ Desai to lead that effort.
The company is seeking new AI revenue streams beyond digital advertising, which remains its core business. CEO Mark Zuckerberg has described Muse as central to Meta’s AI strategy. Alexandr Wang, the Scale AI founder recruited by Meta, leads the group behind the Muse Spark family of AI models, according to CNBC.
Meta is targeting a large existing audience. The company says 200 million small businesses use Facebook. By linking an AI agent to familiar software and its advertising ecosystem, Meta is positioning Muse as a tool for businesses that want help managing routine work without moving between as many separate applications.
