Google today announced major updates to its Gemini AI platform. The Gemini-1.5-Pro-002 and Gemini-1.5-Flash-002 models have been improved and now offer higher quality for mathematical tasks, long contexts, and visual applications. At the same time, Google is reducing the price of Gemini 1.5 Pro by more than 50% while significantly increasing the limits.
A major innovation is the integration of Gemini AI into Google Workspace. Users of Business, Enterprise and Frontline plans will automatically get access to the Gemini application within the platform. Google promises that the AI capabilities will increase productivity while maintaining high security standards. New certifications such as SOC 1/2/3 and ISO 27701 are designed to increase business confidence.
In addition to the AI innovations, Google also announced improvements to its photo app. The video editor in Google Photos for Android and iOS will get new tools like speed control and AI-powered presets. These should make it easier for users to edit and enhance their videos without having to deal with complex manual settings.
