The research company Playground Research presents “Playground v3”, a new AI model for text-image generation, which has apparently achieved top performance in several test procedures. The system stands out for its precise implementation of text instructions, its ability to reason logically, and the outstanding quality of its text rendering. In user studies, the model even outperformed human designers in the design of stickers, posters, and logos.
Unlike previous text-to-image models, Playground v3 uses only a large language model as a decoder for text processing. The researchers also developed a proprietary image description system that can generate descriptions at different levels of detail. In addition to photorealistic image generation, the model is capable of precise RGB color control and multiple language understanding. A new evaluation standard, CapsBench”, was introduced to evaluate detailed image descriptions.
