OpenAI makes ChatGPT group chats available worldwide

OpenAI has rolled out its group chat feature for ChatGPT to all users globally. This follows a successful test with a small number of people last week, as Juli Clover reports for 9to5Mac. The feature allows up to 20 people to collaborate with the AI chatbot in a single conversation. According to OpenAI, potential uses include planning trips with friends or collaborating on work projects. Users can create a group chat and invite others by sharing a link. The company says it has taught ChatGPT new social skills for this environment. The chatbot will decide when to participate and can be mentioned directly to ensure a response. Group chats are available to all users with an account.
