Google has added a new “Discover sources” feature to NotebookLM that searches the web for relevant content. As reported by Abner Li, this update allows users to find information without manually adding files and links. After clicking the new button in the Sources pane and entering a topic of interest, NotebookLM delivers up to 10 curated web links with annotated summaries explaining their relevance. Users can select all recommendations or choose specific ones, which then function like any other source in the platform. Google describes this as the first in a series of features using Gemini to find and collect sources. The update is rolling out to all NotebookLM users over the next week and includes an “I’m feeling curious” button for new users to explore random topics.
