Honor has integrated Google’s new Veo 2 AI image-to-video generator into its upcoming Honor 400 and 400 Pro smartphones, launching May 22nd. As reported by Dominic Preston, the feature converts static images into five-second videos within the phones’ Gallery app. The tool processes requests in one to two minutes and works with both portrait and landscape images. Users cannot add text prompts to guide the AI’s output. Testing showed mixed results: While the AI created realistic movement for people and pets, it struggled with complex scenes like sporting events. Honor will offer the feature free for two months with a limit of 10 daily generations. Notably, this integration makes the technology available before Google releases it to its own Gemini users.
