Google launches Veo AI video generation model for business customers

Google has made its new artificial intelligence video generation model Veo available through its Vertex AI platform. The model can create high-definition 1080p videos from text or image prompts in various visual styles, with clips potentially exceeding one minute in length.

The technology includes built-in safeguards against harmful content and copyright violations, according to Google. All content produced by Veo contains DeepMind’s SynthID watermarking technology to help identify AI-generated material. The model is currently available in private preview for business customers.

Early adopters of the technology include companies like Agoda and Mondelez International, who are using Veo for video ad production. Google Cloud reports that the model offers frame-level consistency for seamless subject movement within shots. Additionally, Google’s Imagen 3 text-to-image generator will be available to all Google Cloud customers via Vertex AI starting next week.
