Google launches AI Plus subscription in 35 countries for $7.99 per month

Google has expanded its AI Plus subscription to 35 new countries and territories, including the United States. The service is now available everywhere Google AI plans are offered.

AI Plus costs $7.99 per month in the US and positions itself between the free tier and the $19.99 AI Pro subscription. According to Google, the plan provides “more access” to AI features compared to free users, while AI Pro offers “higher access.”

The subscription includes 200 GB of cloud storage for Photos, Drive, and Gmail. Up to five family members can share these benefits. Subscribers get enhanced access to Gemini 3 Pro and Nano Banana Pro in the Gemini app, along with Deep Research capabilities and limited access to Veo 3.1 Fast.

Google’s Flow filmmaking tool is part of the package, offering users 200 monthly AI credits for video generation. The service also includes access to Gemini in Gmail, Google Vids, and other Workspace applications. NotebookLM users receive expanded Audio Overviews and notebook features.

New US subscribers can currently get 50 percent off for the first two months, reducing the price to $3.99 per month. Google states that existing Google One Premium 2TB subscribers at $9.99 per month will automatically receive all AI Plus benefits within the next few days.

The service is now available in countries across North America, Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and the Pacific region.

It competes with ChatGPT „Go“-Plan that also costs $8/month and is globally available. But while ChatGPT has announced ads for this tier, Googles offering seems to be ad-free (for now).
