Google and the 1 Billion Followers Summit have introduced the AI Film Award, a global competition with a USD $1 million prize. The award invites creators to produce a short film using the company’s artificial intelligence tools. Submissions are open until November 20, 2025.
To be eligible, films must be between 7 and 10 minutes long. According to the announcement, at least 70% of the content needs to be generated with Google’s AI models, such as Gemini and Flow. Entrants must base their film on one of two themes: “Rewrite Tomorrow” or “The Secret Life of”. A jury of experts will select the winner, who will be announced in Dubai in January 2026.
