Google has published specific usage limits for its AI model Gemini, providing new clarity for users on its free and paid plans. The update to its Help Center article replaces previous vague statements about potential caps on prompts and features. As The Verge reports, users now have a clear understanding of their daily and monthly allowances.
According to Google, users on the free plan can submit up to five prompts per day to the Gemini 2.5 Pro model. This tier also includes the generation of up to 100 images daily and five “Deep Research” reports per month. The context window for free users is limited to 32,000 tokens.
Subscribers to the paid plans receive significantly higher limits. The AI Pro plan increases the daily prompt limit to 100, while the AI Ultra plan allows for up to 500 prompts. Both paid tiers raise the image generation cap to 1,000 images per day and expand the context window to one million tokens. Paid plans also unlock access to new features, including video generation with Google’s Veo models and a “Deep Think” function for AI Ultra subscribers. Google notes that these limits are in place to ensure a stable experience and may change over time.
