The moderator of the Reddit forum r/mycology discovered that the first image shown when searching for a specific mushroom was an AI-generated image that did not resemble the real mushroom. As Emanuel Maiberg reports for 404 Media, the image came from a stock photo website where it was marked as AI-generated. Experts warn that such false images could have fatal consequences if collectors rely on them. They are calling on Google to clearly label AI images and remove them from search results. Google has said it is working on improvements.
