OpenAI has made its digital editing tool Canvas accessible to all ChatGPT users, expanding beyond its previous limitation to paying subscribers. According to technology reporter Emilia David, the announcement came during OpenAI’s livestream event. Canvas transforms ChatGPT’s interface by adding a side-by-side workspace where users can edit code and text while chatting with the AI. The update includes new features such as Python code execution, enhanced text pasting capabilities, and integration with GPT-4o. Users can now test code directly within the platform and create visual graphics from code. The tool also helps identify and fix coding bugs. Canvas will be available by default in new custom GPTs, while existing custom GPT users can activate it through settings.
