Amazon has launched Nova Premier, its most advanced AI model to date, capable of processing text, images, and videos. The model is now available through Amazon Bedrock, the company’s AI development platform. As reported by Kyle Wiggers for TechCrunch, Nova Premier excels at complex tasks requiring contextual understanding and multi-step planning. With a context length of 1 million tokens, it can analyze approximately 750,000 words simultaneously. While outperforming rivals in knowledge retrieval and visual understanding, it lags behind Google’s Gemini 2.5 Pro in coding tests and certain math evaluations. Amazon has priced Nova Premier competitively at $2.50 per million input tokens and $12.50 per million output tokens. According to Amazon CEO Andy Jassy, AI represents a significant growth area for the company, with “triple-digit” year-over-year revenue increases.
