Anthropic has launched Integrations, allowing Claude to connect with third-party apps and tools. According to Anthropic’s announcement, the new feature works with the Model Context Protocol (MCP) to link Claude with web and desktop applications. At launch, Claude can integrate with ten services including Jira, Confluence, Zapier, Cloudflare, and Intercom, with more partners planned.
The company also enhanced Claude’s Research capabilities with an advanced mode that can search the web, Google Workspace, and now connected integrations. Claude can research for up to 45 minutes and deliver comprehensive reports with citations. Web search functionality is now available globally for all Claude users on paid plans.
Anthropic explains that integrations give Claude deeper context about users’ work, allowing the AI to understand project histories and organizational knowledge while taking actions across connected platforms. For example, with Zapier integration, Claude can access thousands of apps through pre-built workflows, automatically pulling data from services like HubSpot.
Developers can create their own integrations in approximately 30 minutes using Anthropic’s documentation. Solutions like Cloudflare provide built-in authentication and deployment tools to simplify the process.
The new features are currently available in beta for Max, Team, and Enterprise plans, with Pro plan availability coming soon.
