Fiverr has introduced a new AI system that allows freelancers to train artificial intelligence on their previous work and offer AI-generated content to clients. As reported by Kyle Wiggers for TechCrunch, the “Personal AI Creation Model” enables gig workers to create AI versions of their services for tasks like voice-overs and graphic design. The service costs $25 monthly and will initially be available to thousands of vetted freelancers. Fiverr CEO Micha Kaufman states this initiative aims to make freelancers “irreplaceable, not obsolete.” The company also launched an AI assistant that can handle customer communications and announced a program giving top performers shares in the publicly traded company. Fiverr emphasizes that freelancers retain ownership of their AI-generated work and can disable the system at any time.
