Diffbot, a Silicon Valley company, has introduced a new AI model that combines AI capabilities with real-time fact verification. As reported by Michael Nuñez for VentureBeat, the system uses graph retrieval-augmented generation (GraphRAG) technology based on Meta’s Llama 3.3. The model connects to Diffbot’s Knowledge Graph, a database containing over one trillion facts that updates every four to five days. In benchmark tests, the system achieved 81% accuracy on Google’s FreshQA test, surpassing both ChatGPT and Gemini. The company is releasing the model as open-source software, allowing organizations to run it locally. According to CEO Mike Tung, the system requires either a single Nvidia A100 GPU for the 8-billion-parameter version or two H100 GPUs for the full 70-billion-parameter version.
