Figma has introduced several new AI-powered tools aimed at simplifying website creation, app prototyping, and marketing asset generation. According to Ivan Mehta from TechCrunch, the design company’s new offerings include Figma Sites, Figma Make, Figma Buzz, and Figma Draw. Figma Sites allows designers to turn their prototypes into functional websites with AI assistance, complete with an upcoming content management system for blog posts. The tool supports animations, transitions, and responsive design features.
Figma Make focuses on app prototyping through AI prompts, enabling teams to collaboratively create interactive prototypes. Users can generate specific interactive elements that can later be embedded in Figma Sites. Yuhki Yamashita, Figma’s chief product officer, explained that while both products share underlying technology, Make is geared toward high-fidelity prototyping while Sites is designed for marketing and design teams with specific site requirements.
For marketers, Figma Buzz provides tools to utilize designer-created templates for producing brand-consistent assets, including bulk creation capabilities using spreadsheet data. The new Figma Draw offers enhanced vector editing and illustration features, eliminating the need to export designs to other software.
With these releases, Figma appears to be competing with website builders like WordPress and Wix, as well as creative suites such as Adobe and Canva. The company is also introducing a new “content seat” plan starting at $8 per month, giving users access to Figma Buzz, Slides, FigJam, and Sites CMS features.
