Infinite Realms is developing technology to transform fantasy books into interactive game worlds using artificial intelligence. According to Dean Takahashi of VentureBeat, the company plans to license IPs from bestselling fantasy authors and convert them into living game environments. CEO Irena Pereira explained that their AI-driven engine can process book manuscripts to create worlds that game studios can license for development. The system uses custom large language models (LLMs) containing the book’s lore, enabling players to interact with beloved characters and settings. Pereira emphasizes that all implementations will respect authors’ copyright and approval. The company aims to create a “Netflix of living worlds” that could help revive interest in fantasy literature while providing new gaming experiences for dedicated fans of these literary universes.
